Failure Symptoms

A clogged air filter initially manifests as a gradual decrease in engine power and responsiveness. As the restriction worsens, fuel efficiency will decline, and the engine may start to produce black exhaust smoke due to incomplete combustion. If left unaddressed, severe air starvation can lead to engine overheating and internal damage.

Installation Tip

Ensure the filter housing seal surface is clean and free of any debris or old gasket material before installing the new filter. Do not overtighten the housing clamps, as this can distort the filter or housing.
