199-2239 Oil Filter — Cat 303 304Cr

This is an engine oil filter designed to remove contaminants from the engine oil, ensuring proper lubrication and cooling of internal engine components. Installation & Application Notes

Inspect mating surfaces for wear before fitting. Use torque specs from service manual. Replace gaskets and seals as a set — reusing compressed gaskets causes oil leaks. Clean all oil passages with compressed air.

Always consult the OEM service manual for model-specific torque values and procedures. WhatsApp our technical team if you need fitment guidance.

Failure Symptoms

Initial signs of a failing oil filter may include a slight increase in oil temperature or a dimly lit oil pressure warning light. If ignored, the filter will become completely blocked, leading to oil bypassing the filter media and circulating unfiltered oil, accelerating engine wear.

Installation Tip

Ensure the old filter gasket is completely removed from the engine block before installing the new filter. Overtightening the new filter can damage the gasket or the filter housing.

Service Note

Inspect the engine oil for signs of contamination and check the oil level and condition during replacement.
