196-8031 Water Tank Radiator — Cat 3064 311C

This is a radiator water tank, the component that holds coolant and connects the radiator core to the engine's cooling system hoses. Manufactured to meet OEM quality standards, it ensures a leak-free seal and proper coolant flow, unlike a cracked or corroded tank that leads to coolant loss and overheating. Operators may notice coolant leaks around the top or bottom of the radiator, or the temperature gauge rising into the red zone when the water tank fails.

Installation & Application Notes

Inspect mating surfaces for wear before fitting. Use torque specs from service manual. Replace gaskets and seals as a set — reusing compressed gaskets causes oil leaks. Clean all oil passages with compressed air.

Always consult the OEM service manual for model-specific torque values and procedures. WhatsApp our technical team if you need fitment guidance.

Failure Symptoms

The most common symptom of a failing radiator water tank is visible coolant leakage, often seen as puddles under the machine or streaks on the tank itself. If ignored, this leakage will lead to a constant loss of coolant, causing the engine to overheat. Persistent overheating can result in severe engine damage, including warped cylinder heads or blown head gaskets.

Installation Tip

Ensure all mating surfaces between the tank and radiator core are meticulously cleaned and free of old gasket material or debris. Avoid overtightening the mounting bolts, as this can distort the tank or damage the sealing surfaces.

Service Note

When replacing the radiator water tank, inspect the radiator core for leaks or damage and check the condition of the thermostat.
