Failure Symptoms

The first indication of failing hydraulic cylinder seals is often visible external fluid leakage from the cylinder rod gland. If ignored, this leakage will worsen, leading to a gradual loss of hydraulic system pressure and slower, less responsive cylinder movement. Eventually, the cylinder may fail to hold its position under load, compromising the equipment's operational capability.

Installation Tip

Thoroughly clean the cylinder bore and piston rod to prevent dirt and debris from damaging the new seals during installation. Avoid using sharp tools that could nick or cut the seal lips when inserting them into their grooves.
