Failure Symptoms

Early symptoms of failing fuel injectors include a noticeable drop in engine power and increased black smoke from the exhaust. If ignored, the engine may begin to run rough, misfire, and experience difficulty starting, especially when cold. Continued use with faulty injectors can lead to increased fuel consumption and potential damage to pistons and cylinder walls from unburned fuel.

Installation Tip

Always use new copper sealing washers for the injector lines and ensure the injector bore in the cylinder head is clean and free of carbon buildup. Do not overtighten the injector hold-down clamps, as this can distort the injector body.
