119-5457 Bucket Cylinder Seak Kit — Cat 307B 311B

This is a CAT Bucket Cylinder Seal Kit, a collection of seals and O-rings designed to prevent hydraulic fluid leakage from the bucket cylinder. Manufactured to meet OEM specifications, these seals provide superior resistance to wear and pressure compared to degraded or damaged seals. Operators may observe external hydraulic fluid leaks around the cylinder rod, sluggish cylinder operation, or the bucket drifting down when not actively holding a position.

Installation & Application Notes

Inspect mating surfaces for wear before fitting. Use torque specs from service manual. Replace gaskets and seals as a set — reusing compressed gaskets causes oil leaks. Clean all oil passages with compressed air.

Always consult the OEM service manual for model-specific torque values and procedures. WhatsApp our technical team if you need fitment guidance.

Failure Symptoms

Visible hydraulic fluid leaking from the bucket cylinder rod seal is the most common initial sign of seal failure. If ignored, the leak will worsen, leading to a loss of hydraulic pressure, causing the bucket to operate slowly or drift. In severe cases, significant fluid loss can lead to pump damage and complete loss of hydraulic function.

Installation Tip

Thoroughly clean the cylinder bore and rod before installing new seals to prevent contamination and ensure a proper seal. Avoid using sharp tools that could nick or scratch the new seals during installation.

Service Note

Inspect the cylinder rod for scoring or damage, and check the hydraulic fluid for contamination when replacing the bucket cylinder seal kit.
