116-7500 Radiator — Cat 3116 3126

This is a radiator, a critical component of the engine's cooling system responsible for dissipating heat. Manufactured to meet stringent OEM performance specifications, it ensures efficient heat exchange to maintain optimal engine operating temperatures, unlike a clogged or leaking radiator that compromises cooling. Operators may notice the engine temperature gauge rising into the red zone, steam coming from under the hood, or a significant loss of coolant if this radiator fails.

Installation & Application Notes

Inspect mating surfaces for wear before fitting. Use torque specs from service manual. Replace gaskets and seals as a set — reusing compressed gaskets causes oil leaks. Clean all oil passages with compressed air.

Always consult the OEM service manual for model-specific torque values and procedures. WhatsApp our technical team if you need fitment guidance.

Failure Symptoms

The first sign of radiator failure is typically a rising engine temperature gauge, indicating inadequate cooling. If ignored, this can lead to steam escaping from the radiator or hoses and a noticeable loss of coolant. Continued operation with an overheating engine can cause severe internal engine damage, including warped cylinder heads or seized components.

Installation Tip

Ensure all sealing surfaces for the radiator hoses and mounting brackets are clean and free of debris before installation. Do not overtighten the mounting bolts, as this can distort the radiator core.

Service Note

Inspect the engine coolant level and condition, and check the water pump and thermostat when replacing the radiator.
