10r-8989-280-0574 Fuel Injector — Cat C15

This is a high-pressure fuel injector designed to deliver a precise amount of fuel into the combustion chamber for optimal engine performance. It is built to exacting standards, ensuring consistent spray patterns and atomization superior to a worn injector that may cause incomplete combustion. Operators may experience rough idling, loss of power, or increased exhaust smoke when this fuel injector begins to fail.

Installation & Application Notes

Inspect mating surfaces for wear before fitting. Use torque specs from service manual. Replace gaskets and seals as a set — reusing compressed gaskets causes oil leaks. Clean all oil passages with compressed air.

Always consult the OEM service manual for model-specific torque values and procedures. WhatsApp our technical team if you need fitment guidance.

Failure Symptoms

Early symptoms of a failing fuel injector include a noticeable drop in engine power and increased black smoke from the exhaust. If ignored, fuel consumption will rise, and the engine may begin to misfire or run very rough. Continued operation with a faulty injector can lead to increased internal engine temperatures and potential damage to pistons and valves.

Installation Tip

Ensure the injector bore in the cylinder head is thoroughly cleaned before installing the new injector. Avoid rotating the injector during installation, as this can damage the sealing surfaces.

Service Note

When replacing a fuel injector, it is recommended to inspect the fuel lines, seals, and the engine's fuel filter for any signs of contamination or wear.
