51-8005-34390-40200 Oil Pressure Switch — Cat E200B E320 E320B E320C

This oil pressure switch monitors and signals the engine's oil pressure status to the control system. It is manufactured to meet high-quality standards, providing accurate readings unlike a worn switch that might stick or fail to activate. Operators may observe a fluctuating or absent oil pressure warning light, or the engine may shut down unexpectedly if this switch malfunctions.

Installation & Application Notes

Disconnect main battery before working on electrical components. Use dielectric grease on all connector pins. Check ground connections — most electrical faults trace to poor grounds. Test with multimeter before installing new parts.

Always consult the OEM service manual for model-specific torque values and procedures. WhatsApp our technical team if you need fitment guidance.

Failure Symptoms

The first indication of a problem might be an oil pressure warning light that stays on constantly, flickers erratically, or fails to illuminate when it should. If the switch fails to detect low pressure, the engine could continue running without adequate lubrication, leading to severe internal damage. Conversely, a switch that falsely indicates low pressure could cause unnecessary engine shutdowns.

Installation Tip

Before installing the new switch, clean the threaded port thoroughly to ensure a proper seal and prevent debris from entering the lubrication system. Do not use excessive force when threading the switch, as this can strip the threads in the engine block or crankcase.

Service Note

Check the engine oil level and condition, and inspect the oil filter for signs of blockage or premature clogging.
