7D8185 Disc — Cat 12g 12H

This is a CAT Disc, a key element within the brake assembly that works in conjunction with friction materials to achieve deceleration. Installation & Application Notes

Always replace brakes in axle sets. Bed-in new brake pads with 8–10 moderate stops from 40 km/h. Check disc runout with a dial gauge — maximum 0.1 mm. Inspect caliper slides and pistons when replacing pads.

Always consult the OEM service manual for model-specific torque values and procedures. WhatsApp our technical team if you need fitment guidance.

Failure Symptoms

A failing brake disc may initially present as a slight increase in pedal travel or a subtle reduction in braking efficiency. If the issue is not addressed, the disc can become scored or warped, leading to inconsistent braking and potential vibration. Continued operation with a compromised brake disc significantly increases the risk of brake fade and reduced control.

Installation Tip

Ensure that the mounting surfaces are perfectly clean and free of any burrs or imperfections to allow the disc to seat correctly. Avoid reusing old hardware, as this can lead to improper mounting and potential failure.

Service Note

Inspect brake pads or linings, caliper components, and brake fluid condition during disc replacement.
