1346064 Kit-Brake Lining — Cat 621E 623F

This is a kit containing brake linings, essential friction material that contacts the brake drum or disc to create stopping force. Manufactured to meet strict performance and durability standards, this kit provides consistent braking performance, unlike worn linings that are glazed or reduced in thickness. Operators may experience reduced braking effectiveness, squealing or grinding noises during braking, or a longer pedal travel when these linings are worn out.

Installation & Application Notes

Always replace brakes in axle sets. Bed-in new brake pads with 8–10 moderate stops from 40 km/h. Check disc runout with a dial gauge — maximum 0.1 mm. Inspect caliper slides and pistons when replacing pads.

Always consult the OEM service manual for model-specific torque values and procedures. WhatsApp our technical team if you need fitment guidance.

Failure Symptoms

The initial symptom of worn brake linings is often a decrease in stopping power or a longer pedal travel. As wear progresses, you may hear persistent squealing or grinding noises during braking. Continued use with severely worn linings can lead to damage to the brake drums or rotors, resulting in more costly repairs and compromised safety.

Installation Tip

Clean the brake drums or rotors thoroughly before installing new linings to ensure optimal contact and prevent contamination. Avoid reusing old hardware, as worn or damaged fasteners can compromise the secure attachment of the linings.

Service Note

Inspect brake drums or rotors for scoring, wear, or damage, and check brake hardware for looseness or corrosion when replacing brake linings.
