Bushing(2-3-4-5-6-7) — 6 Bushing(2-3-4-5-6-7) Bushing(2-3-4-5-6-7) Bushing(2-3-4-5-6-7)

This is a high-quality bushing designed to provide a wear surface and facilitate controlled movement between mating parts in Caterpillar equipment. Manufactured to meet stringent OEM standards, it offers superior resistance to abrasion and deformation compared to a worn bushing that has elongated or developed excessive clearance. Operators may observe increased vibration, imprecise component movement, or audible clunking noises when this bushing begins to fail.

Installation & Application Notes

Never strike bearings directly — use a bearing press or driver set. Heat housing (not bearing) to ease installation. Replace bearings in sets where applicable. Check housing bore diameter before fitting — out-of-round bores destroy new bearings.

Always consult the OEM service manual for model-specific torque values and procedures. WhatsApp our technical team if you need fitment guidance.

Failure Symptoms

The initial symptom of a failing bushing is often a noticeable looseness or play in the connected components, leading to imprecise movements. As wear progresses, this play increases, potentially causing rattling or clunking sounds, especially under load. If left unaddressed, the excessive wear can damage the mating pin and bore, requiring more extensive and costly repairs.

Installation Tip

Ensure the mating pin and bore surfaces are thoroughly cleaned and free of debris before attempting installation. Press the new bushing in squarely to avoid damaging its edges or the bore.

Service Note

Inspect the pivot pin and surrounding linkage components for wear or damage during bushing replacement.
