CATBearing & Bushing

Bushing(1) 1 Bushing(1) Bushing(1) Bushing(1) — Cat 320C 320D

This is a wear-resistant bushing designed to provide a low-friction bearing surface for rotating or sliding components within Caterpillar hydraulic systems or linkages. Manufactured to precise dimensional and material specifications, it offers superior durability and performance compared to a worn bushing that may cause excessive play and noise. Operators may notice increased looseness in linkages, hydraulic system leaks, or erratic operation of the affected component.

Installation & Application Notes

Never strike bearings directly — use a bearing press or driver set. Heat housing (not bearing) to ease installation. Replace bearings in sets where applicable. Check housing bore diameter before fitting — out-of-round bores destroy new bearings.

Always consult the OEM service manual for model-specific torque values and procedures. WhatsApp our technical team if you need fitment guidance.

Failure Symptoms

The first indication of a worn Bushing(1) is often noticeable play or looseness in the connected linkage or cylinder rod end. If ignored, this wear will accelerate, leading to increased noise, potential damage to pins and bores, and compromised hydraulic system performance or structural integrity. Continued operation with excessive bushing wear can lead to premature failure of more expensive components like pins or hydraulic cylinders.

Installation Tip

Before installing the new bushing, thoroughly clean the bore and the pin to remove any debris or old lubricant that could prevent proper seating. Use a press with the correct size tooling to install the bushing straight and flush, avoiding any cocking.

Service Note

When replacing this bushing, always inspect the corresponding pin and bore for wear or scoring, and check the condition of any associated seals.
