8J5654 Bearing — Cat 16g 16H

This is a CAT Bearing, engineered to provide low-friction support for rotating components in heavy-duty earthmoving equipment. It meets stringent OEM quality benchmarks, offering durability and performance that surpasses a worn or damaged bearing. Operators may detect increased noise, excessive heat, or a loss of operational smoothness in the affected system as the bearing begins to degrade.

Installation & Application Notes

Never strike bearings directly — use a bearing press or driver set. Heat housing (not bearing) to ease installation. Replace bearings in sets where applicable. Check housing bore diameter before fitting — out-of-round bores destroy new bearings.

Always consult the OEM service manual for model-specific torque values and procedures. WhatsApp our technical team if you need fitment guidance.

Failure Symptoms

A failing bearing will typically first present as a noticeable humming or grinding noise that changes with wheel speed. If operation continues, this noise will intensify, and the component may develop excessive play, leading to poor handling. Continued use risks bearing seizure, potentially damaging the axle or spindle and causing significant operational disruption.

Installation Tip

Ensure the mating surfaces of the shaft and the housing are perfectly clean and free from any burrs or imperfections. Never attempt to seat the bearing by striking it directly; use a proper bearing installer or press.

Service Note

When replacing this bearing, always inspect the axle shaft, seals, and brake components for any signs of wear or damage.
