CATBearing & Bushing

6H7611 Bearing-Inner — Cat MT800 CHALLENGER

This is an inner bearing, specifically designed to support radial loads and maintain precise alignment within the final drive or transmission of Caterpillar Challenger series tractors. Manufactured to meet stringent OEM material and dimensional specifications, it provides smooth, low-friction rotation, unlike a worn bearing that can exhibit excessive play and noise. Operators may notice increased drive train noise, vibration, or a loss of power to the tracks when this inner bearing begins to fail.

Installation & Application Notes

Never strike bearings directly — use a bearing press or driver set. Heat housing (not bearing) to ease installation. Replace bearings in sets where applicable. Check housing bore diameter before fitting — out-of-round bores destroy new bearings.

Always consult the OEM service manual for model-specific torque values and procedures. WhatsApp our technical team if you need fitment guidance.

Failure Symptoms

The first indication of a failing inner bearing might be an increase in whining or grinding sounds from the final drive or transmission. If ignored, this will progress to significant vibration and potential binding of the drive components. Continued operation risks severe damage to the final drive or transmission gears and shafts.

Installation Tip

Ensure the bearing housing and shaft surfaces are meticulously cleaned and free of any debris or old lubricant residue. Never use a hammer to drive the bearing into place; use a proper press or driver to apply force evenly to the correct race.

Service Note

Inspect and replace final drive or transmission seals, and check lubricant for metal particles indicating internal wear.
