1401185 Blade Gp-Angling — Cat D5M

This is an angling blade assembly designed to provide precise control over the side-to-side movement of a bulldozer's blade. Manufactured to meet stringent quality standards, it ensures robust performance and durability, differing from worn assemblies that may exhibit looseness or binding. Operators may experience difficulty in adjusting the blade angle, or notice excessive play in the blade's movement when this assembly is failing.

Installation & Application Notes

Never strike bearings directly — use a bearing press or driver set. Heat housing (not bearing) to ease installation. Replace bearings in sets where applicable. Check housing bore diameter before fitting — out-of-round bores destroy new bearings.

Always consult the OEM service manual for model-specific torque values and procedures. WhatsApp our technical team if you need fitment guidance.

Failure Symptoms

Initial symptoms may include slow or hesitant blade angling, or a noticeable 'sloppiness' when positioning the blade. If ignored, the angling function may become erratic, or the blade could drift unintentionally, compromising grading accuracy. Continued use risks hydraulic leaks and potential damage to the blade mounting structure.

Installation Tip

Ensure all hydraulic connections are clean and free of debris before reconnecting them to the new assembly. Avoid over-tightening mounting bolts, which can distort the housing or mounting points.

Service Note

Inspect the hydraulic cylinders, hoses, and pins associated with the blade angling system for wear or damage during replacement.
